Surabaya

Hey everyone,

It's been a while since I've updated anything here, so I'll try to write more.. :p

So last weekend I went to Surabaya with my family in a short out-of-town trip. Surabaya is a city in Central Java, Indonesia. We went at around seven thirty p.m. on Friday, and arrived at 9 a.m. on Saturday. We went by car and it took us around 6 hours to get there. Well, it probably took us longer, since we arrived kind of late. But it was really fun, going on the road with my family, just the four of us. Makes us feel close.

We didn't get to do much in Surabaya, though. We just visited a couple of malls to get lunch, and then went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner. On Sunday morning, after breakfast in the hotel, we went back home. We arrived at half past midnight. Boy, it was quite a tiring trip, but it was a nice break for all of us.

Oh yeah, while I was in Surabaya, I visited this huge bookstore called Gramedia Expo. I loved it there and wished I could have spent more time there. I bought this book called "Little Girl Lost" by Barbie Probert-Wright and Jean Ritchie. It's based on Probert-Wright's true story when she was a little girl. She and her older sister were separated from their mother during the World War II, and the book tells about their struggles to reunite with their mother. I guess it will be a touching book to read, and I can't wait to read it. Here's a pic of the book's cover.

What kind of books do you like to read?
